Welcome to Vintage Motors of Lyons

Front of the shop in Lyons

We sell, consign, purchase, and locate cars of interest for folks that appreciate them. We  always carry an eclectic selection of classics. Whether you are wanting that perfect  Sunday driver, a project car, or a higher end investment, we probably have a car that you will enjoy!

I have been passionate about cars since I was a kid in the '50's and '60's and bought my first car while in high school, which was a then 10 year old 1958 MGA. Since then I have enjoyed and nurtured many classics, both foreign and domestic. I decided to follow and share my passion for cars by creating a welcoming marketplace to not only sell cars, but open a place for everyone to come in and check out and talk cars, look at car books, magazines, posters, artwork, etc..

Our shop was originally built as a Texaco gas station in the 1940's and is conveniently located at the junction of the two highways leading to the Rocky Mountains just north west of Boulder. You won't miss us at the west end of Main Street.  Lyons is a fun, small town offering nationally known live music festivals and brewpub; shops and great fly fishing, kayaking, tubing, hiking, and mountain biking.  The South St. Vrain Canyon is among many great driving roads in the area.

The best part of this business has been all of the great people we meet. Thanks for visiting our site and I hope to meet you whenever you are in the area.

1984 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser For Sale

One owner 1984 FJ60 Land Cruiser Wagon For Sale. I purchased this Cruiser new in December 1984 in Denver, CO..  It has 262,617 miles on it; has always been well maintained and is in very good running and driving condition. Have every service receipt from new down to every oil change (engine re-built; new rear springs and gas shocks 30,000 miles ago); all original literature (window sticker, purchase docs., owners manual, service and warranty booklet, sales brochure, etc.) and accessories (original keys, tool kit, jack, plug in service light, can of touch up paint, Toyota road atlas). Tough, Simple, Durable. Ready for you to drive it anywhere!  $ 7,500.00

Original Desert Beige paint with 34 years of patina! The body has it share of dings and dents and has typical LC surface rust. The worst of it is the drivers door which is dented at the hinge side allowing 3/4 opening (but enough to get in and out no problem) but no critical rust.

Currently has aftermarket black steel wheels but have original chrome wheels with it as well (all wheels in good shape). Very good, heavy duty, Wilderness roof rack to carry most any load.  All electrical: lights, signals, gauges working other than rear window defrost and wiper are intermittent. AC needs re-charged but components intact and working; could use new thermostat.

Interior (seats, door panels, carpets, dash, floor mats) in very good condition.

Seats five adults comfortably with seat belts; has separate rear heater. Rear seat folds flat for large capacity rear stowage. Great for sleeping in it too which I’ve done on many a road trip!

Sorry, carpet cleaner spots in photo above; now dried.

Headliner in very good condition.

Original wheels.

Original powerful 4.2 liter, in line six cylinder, overhead valve, carbureted 2F engine. Has manual choke. It started right up with full choke at 22 below on a back country ski trip (and my buddy’s International Scout wouldn’t even crank)! Lock out front hubs; high/low 4wd transfer case. Power steering; tilt wheel.

Original spare tire and wheel underneath; has never been down!

Some light surface rust only underneath. Truck has lived here in Colorado since new, has seen virtually no salt.
