Welcome to Vintage Motors of Lyons

Front of the shop in Lyons

We sell, consign, purchase, and locate cars of interest for folks that appreciate them. We  always carry an eclectic selection of classics. Whether you are wanting that perfect  Sunday driver, a project car, or a higher end investment, we probably have a car that you will enjoy!

I have been passionate about cars since I was a kid in the '50's and '60's and bought my first car while in high school, which was a then 10 year old 1958 MGA. Since then I have enjoyed and nurtured many classics, both foreign and domestic. I decided to follow and share my passion for cars by creating a welcoming marketplace to not only sell cars, but open a place for everyone to come in and check out and talk cars, look at car books, magazines, posters, artwork, etc..

Our shop was originally built as a Texaco gas station in the 1940's and is conveniently located at the junction of the two highways leading to the Rocky Mountains just north west of Boulder. You won't miss us at the west end of Main Street.  Lyons is a fun, small town offering nationally known live music festivals and brewpub; shops and great fly fishing, kayaking, tubing, hiking, and mountain biking.  The South St. Vrain Canyon is among many great driving roads in the area.

The best part of this business has been all of the great people we meet. Thanks for visiting our site and I hope to meet you whenever you are in the area.

2004 Audi TT Coupe Quattro – Sold

2004 TT Quattro MT6, Six Speed Manual Transmission, Coupe for Sale. Less than 45,000 Original Miles. In Brilliant Red with Ebony Interior. Two full sets of 17″ Factory 5 Spoke Alloy Wheels; one set with Yokohama Advantage Sport A/S High Performance 225/45R17 Summer Tires; second set of wheels with Pirelli Winter Ice Control tires (on car at present). JUST SOLD -THANK YOU

This TT was sold new on 12/7/2003 in Scottsdale, AZ and then shipped to its 2nd owner here in Colorado two years ago with just 39,773 miles (current mileage is less than 45,000 miles). One would be hard pressed to find a lower mileage and better condition TT of this vintage.

The car has been very well maintained and serviced. It received a full synthetic oil change and fluid check; emissions test; 4 new tires; 4 wheel alignment; a new battery; new front brakes and rotors; new cam tensioner seals and a new valve cover gasket in 2/16. Other service/maintenance included a synthetic oil change, 5/9/17 @ 43,068 miles; replacing the windshield washer pump, 10/5/17 @ 43,980 miles and replacing the rear hatch struts.

It runs and drives like new and is a terrific handling car (especially on snowy and/or twisty roads); making for a great mountain touring car.

Ebony (Black) leather interior with Bose Premium Audio Package; heated front seats; Homelink Remote Transmitter.

The car is like new in most aspects. 50/50 split folding rear seat backs for more storage capacity when needed; spare jack, tools, etc, mounted below hatch floor (all new, never used). Owners manuals, extra set keys, etc. as delivered new.

Engine is the robust 1.8L 225 HP DOHC turbocharged 4 cylinder with 2 intercoolers and 5 valve per cylinder technology; coupled to a 6 speed manual transmission. ABS four wheel disc brakes; Quattro AWD with Electronic Differential Lock.

The photo below shows the tread depth on the Pirelli Ice Advantage winter tires currently on the car which have less than 2,000 miles on them. The summer tires on the extra set of alloy wheels are Yokohma Adavantage Sport A/S with less than 3,000 miles on them.

Like all cars this one has it’s pluses and minuses. The pluses on this one are its very low miles, great maintenance and overall condition plus the extra set of alloy wheels and tires ($$). The minuses are cosmetic: there is a small dent at the near the top of the hatch on the left side from one of the hatch struts hitting the car while being replaced; there is a crack in the paint finish below the drivers door handle where the door was bumped; a small rock chip on the hood and the LED center display screen on the dash is pixelated (this is a common problem with these as they age and has no effect on the function and performance of the car).
